Management and operation of cookies

What is a cookie and what is it for?

A cookie is a small text string, typically saved in a file, that a site sends to the browser and saves on your computer when you visit websites.

Cookies are used to make websites work more efficiently, to improve their performance, but also to provide information to the owners of the site. The cookies used on the Site are both persistent (i.e. they remain stored, until their expiry, on the hard drive of the user's / visitor's personal computer) and session cookies (i.e. they are not stored permanently on the user's / visitor's computer and disappear. when the browser is closed).

What type of cookies does this site use and for what purpose?

Our site uses different types of cookies, each of which has a specific function. Below we report specifically the types used:

TYPE: Analytical Cookies

OPERATION:  These cookies are used for example by Google Analytics to process statistical analyzes on how users navigate the site through computers or mobile applications, the number of pages visited or the number of clicks made on a page while browsing a site. TYPE: Third party cookies

They can be used to record the use of the website for marketing purposes, collection of information on the use of the website, keywords used to reach the site. The cookies collect information anonymously. Cookies of this type are sent from the site itself or from third-party domains. To remove some third-party cookies, you can use the following tool:  which currently only works for advertising profiling cookies (perhaps in the future it will also be extended to Analytics) and only detects cookies from members of . For this reason, this tool is not decisive for the purpose of removing all third-party cookies.

TYPE: Persistent cookies

OPERATION:  These persistent cookies are used for the sole purpose of facilitating navigation within the Site and its correct use, to facilitate access to services that require authentication (avoiding users having to re-enter the authentication credentials each time they access the services), as well as for statistical purposes, to find out which areas of the Site have been visited. Session cookies are used for the sole purpose of transmitting the session identifiers necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the Site.

TYPE: Session Cookie

OPERATION:  The session cookies used on the Site avoid the use of other IT techniques that are potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality of user / visitor navigation and are also used to improve the provision of services.

TYPE: Cookie for the integration of third-party functionality

Cookies of this type are used to integrate third-party functionality on the Site (for example, forms for comments or social network icons that allow visitors to share the content of the site). Cookies in this category can be sent from the domains of partner sites or that in any case offer the features present on the site. The Owner is not required to request the user's consent for technical cookies, as these are strictly necessary for the provision of the service. For other types of cookies, consent can be expressed by the User, in accordance with current legislation, through specific configurations of the browser and computer programs or devices that are easy and clear to use for the User. The Owner reminds the User that it is possible to change the cookie preferences at any time. It is also possible to disable cookies from the browser at any time, but this operation may prevent the User from using certain parts of the Site.

Third Party Websites

The site may contain links to other websites that have their own privacy policy. These privacy policies may be different from the one adopted by the Owner, who therefore is not liable for third-party sites.

Pursuant to art. 122 second paragraph of the Legislative Decree 196/2003 the consent to the use of these cookies is expressed by the interested party through the individual setting that he has freely chosen for the browser used to navigate the site, without prejudice to the user's right to communicate at any time to the Data Controller their will regarding data managed through cookies that the browser itself has accepted.

How can I disable cookies?
